In class today, we discussed what the meaning of health is. We came up with five major components, which are mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual health. After coming up with these components we went outside to see how these components are a part of our everyday life.
Our first task was to get to a pole which was about 20ft away in 20 seconds. I ran to the pole, and by doing that it was physical health because it was making me in better shape. Along with physical health we went up to the athletic fields were athletes play there games and do a lot of physical activity.
When we walked up the hill in class we saw signs that were spray painted on. I decided that this could have been a social activity with friends, and that this act would be a factor in ones social health. Another factor to your social health is athletics because you are participating in athletics with friends.
Also when walking up the hill we saw a pack of cigarettes which some might thinks calms there nerves which would help out with there emotional health. Another benefactor to ones emotional health that we saw on our trip outside was athletics because some people put their heart and soul into athletics.
Finally, spiritual health would fall under choices. People make their choices sometimes based on their religious beliefs. With having good morals and being religious that could help someone make better choices.
